Punjab has launched its first fully electric bus service in Lahore, making public transport greener and more efficient in Lahore. Buses with a capacity of 30 seats, able to carry 80 passengers, will be part of the new fleet. There are a variety of modern amenities aboard the electric buses, including GPS tracking, Internet access, USB ports, and ramps for those with disabilities.
Ramps will be installed on the bus and seats will be reserved for passengers with disabilities. Passengers have been protected for the first time from slips and falls on the bus floor.
There are nine charging stations set up at Green Town Hamdard Chowk depot to accommodate these buses.
